Why install solar panels at home?
Photovoltaic installation, i.e. generating electricity directly from the sun's rays, is the simplest and most efficient way to reduce electricity bills. This method of investment pays off in about 6 years and breaks records of popularity among Poles. Investors install photovoltaic installations most often for economic reasons - to reduce electricity bills. But there is also a deeper sense in it - taking care of our planet by reducing the production of electricity from fossil fuels, such as hard coal or lignite. It is mainly this argument that convinces politicians to introduce attractive systems of subsidies and tax reliefs for people who assemble the so-called Renewable Energy Sources - RES. The device that generates electricity in this case are photovoltaic modules. A single module consists of an aluminum frame, cells made of poly or mono silicon crystals and tempered glass that protects them from damage. The next part of the installation is an inverter, often called an inverter, which converts the DC energy generated by the modules into alternating current. Photovoltaic installations are most often mounted on the roof, but in the case of a complex roof structure, they can also be mounted on the ground.

Micro-installations are very popular for several reasons. The first and most important is the so-called net-metering, i.e. the possibility of using the Power Plant as a virtual energy storage.

How it's working?
After we install a photovoltaic installation on your roof, replace the meter with a bi-directional one and connect it to the grid, it will start producing electricity. The energy it produces will first go to your needs. Then the surplus in production will be “sent” to the Energy Company and stored in your virtual energy storage for later use. ZE charges a commission for this operation in the form of 20%. This means that for every 1,000 kWh of surplus to be used later, you will have 800 kWh left over. The power of the installation can be estimated based on the electricity bill. Most often, the invoice contains information about the total energy consumption for the previous year. Based on this information, we perform a simulation and select the most optimal size for your needs.
No, it's not a problem at all. It is assumed that the east side gives about 70% and the west side 80% of electricity every noon. In this case, it is enough to add a few modules to fully cover the demand. Such a distribution has its advantages, because in this way we increase the so-called self-consumption. The production graph becomes flatter and we use the energy produced for our own needs better.
We are currently waiting for the announcement of recruitment for the fifth edition of the "My Electricity" program. It is a program implemented by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management from the state budget.
